This is what the buzz is about!

The Buzz Clip was invented to help players focus on airflow and buzz efficiency while playing into and through the instrument. The Buzz Clip fits between the lead pipe and the mouthpiece bridging the gap between buzzing and playing by allowing the player to focus on airflow while receiving immediate feedback on technique from the horn. The Buzz Clip gives players a direct application of buzz technique. The goal is to play with centered pitch, proper airflow, and efficient buzz. When the desired affect is achieved and playing is most efficient, the sound is clear and it will be more difficult to distinquish between a clipped or "unclipped" sound. When the sound is clear throughout the full range of the instrument, The Buzz Clip has done its job and you are ready to continue your practice without the clip. You will feel the ease of playing!

Many trumpet players and teachers at the 2009 Atlanta Trumpet Festival at Emory University were introduced to The Buzz Clip for the very first time with great reviews.

The Buzz Clip was granted a US Patent due to its unique and effective application of the buzz. It is the first and only buzz device that directs your buzz into and through the horn.

The Buzz Clip recently appeared in The International Trumpet Guild Journal's Trumpet Technology Column (January 2009) as the best of the new trumpet buzzing routine devices. Michael Anderson raved "I love this thing because it allows us to do something that no other device does. It bridges the considerable gap between the feel of buzzing the mouthpiece alone and the feel of playing the trumpet. The Buzz Clip makes it simple to insert the mouthpiece partway into the receiver and allows you to play the horn with both hands in their usual position. I find this to be an extrememly valuable training device that truly does "make the connection" between buzzing and playing."
